Good Friday’s Reflection:

A Spiritual Home for Christ

“Then Joseph bought a linen cloth, and taking down Jesus’ body, wrapped it in the linen cloth, and laid it in a tomb that had been hewn out of the rock.”      — Mark 15:46

  • Put yourself in this scene: use your imagination to see and hear Joseph’s care for Jesus’ body. Use your heart to reflect on the poverty of Jesus, that in death, he wouldn’t have had a home (tomb) without Joseph’s care.
  • When have you experienced physical homelessness? Emotional homelessness?
Spiritual homelessness? Ask yourself:  Where in my world are people homeless?
How am I to be compassionate?
  • Pray for our ministry partners, Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise, Matthew 25, Willis Dady, and all those who help people in need of a home.
