Youth & Family

Ministry

Youth & Family Ministry exists not only for the youth in your family, but also the adults!

Sure many of our faith formation opportunities are for youth, from Confirmation on Wednesday nights to High School Ministry on Sunday nights. But we also exist to bring families into faith formation, through conversation starters to book studies.

See what we have for your youth and find opportunities for you as a parent/guardian to form your own faith as well!

Forms and Volunteer Opportunities

Check out the list below for upcoming events and sign-ups!

Welcome to our Youth & Family Ministry! We’re excited to invite you and your family to join us in a variety of events and activities designed to build faith, foster community, and create lasting memories. Whether it’s through service projects, fun outings, or meaningful worship experiences, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and grow together in faith. Our ministry is all about bringing families closer to each other and to God, and we can’t wait to have you be a part of our vibrant and welcoming community!

  • Camperships 2025

We invite your child to come along this summer for an exciting experience of living in Christian community with a camp counselor and other youth.  The community of First Lutheran Church is committed to our children and youth attending camp, and so we offer Camperships for those attending a Christian camp this summer.

  • Join Us in Nurturing Spiritual Connections: Become a Confirmation Faith Mentor

At First Lutheran, the Growing Young study we explored last spring highlighted the importance of building authentic relationships across generations. In this spirit, we invite you to participate in the Confirmation Faith Mentors program during Lent—a season of reflection and growth. This meaningful opportunity allows adults to journey alongside our confirmation-aged youth, fostering deeper spiritual connections and embodying the values of intergenerational ministry identified in our study.

Youth & Family Ministries at First Lutheran Church

Our Middle School Ministry includes our Confirmation Ministry! 6-8 Grade you are encouraged to explore the questions of faith they may have. Our belief for the process of Confirmation is for the youth to DISCOVER their own understanding of who God is, what Jesus did and how the Spirit is working through them still!
