Welcome to Children and Family Ministry

Get Connected

Children and Family Ministry (CFM) is known for its meaningful and vibrant connections with children and their families. Together we walk alongside of one another as we grow in our faith throughout the many seasons of our lives.  CFM hosts classes, special celebrations, and weekly ministries for children birth through 5th grade.

It all starts with getting connected!

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Pastor Katie Lowe Lancaster at KatieLL@firstlutherancr.org or the church office at 319-365-1494.

Sunday Mornings at 10 a.m.

Join us each Sunday morning up on Level 3 where we work to provide a safe check-in.
The point of checking in is to provide each participant with the feeling that we care about them, want to know their name,  and really want to show who all is in attendance that particular morning.

Say "We're In!"

"We have felt welcome from the first time we attended.  The acceptance and kindness of everyone is my favorite thing about First Lutheran Church."

Ministry Partner

Camp EWALU is a ministry partner with First Lutheran Church! We send campers during the summer to many of their programs and even have some young adults who are part of their summer staff! Click the picture to see what is available for your 1st-5th grader!

Meet god, find life, make friends

In Children and Family ministry, we honor and support parents and guardians as the primary developers of faith in their children. We seek to partner with them as they introduce their children to a life of faith. A life centered in knowing God and finding new life in Jesus, in the context of a community gathered by the Holy Spirit. The links below are an invitation for you to join us!

Our VisioN

For Children & Family Ministries

• Faith Matters • Inter-generational Life Matters • Impact Adults Matter •

• Parents Matter • Age-Specific Ministries Matter • Worship Matters •
