Build a Bigger Table

Summer Food Drive

Those facing food-insecurity in our community have even greater challenges this year after USDA funding changes in Iowa, Horizons funding challenges, and our First Ave. Hy-Vee closing.  In response, we are going to "build a bigger table" with our annual summer food drive.

Starting the weekend of July 13-14 we will be collecting food shelf donations for our neighbors in need. A collection bin will be in the coffee area each weekend along with the Top 10 List of greatest needs for food shelves.

We will then work directly with our local and neighborhood ministry partners to distribute to those in the greatest need in response to the new challenges our neighbors are facing.

Most-Needed Food Items:

1. PEANUT BUTTER

2. CANNED CHICKEN *

3. CANNED VEGETABLES *
