Our men's ministry team, known as the "Guy Squad," meets every-other month to plan movie nights, fun trips, book studies, and service projects. We intentionally try to engage men in their 20's, 30's, and 40's who traditionally haven't had a strong interest in church and meet them on their level.
family mini-golf & ice cream
Make a Hole-in-One of Memories
Bring the entire family for a little mini-golf, ice cream, and fun at Airport National Golf Course at 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 31. Come celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer. We're encouraging everyone to invite a neighbor family to come with you! The event is free (normally $9) and includes a round of mini-golf and ice cream. This is thanks to our H3GO Outreach Team to promote our children (and us) to do outreach in a way that's fun for them.
Dad & Me canoe trip
Saturday, June 20
Dad & Me Canoe Trip Dads, pack a picnic lunch and your kids of all ages for memories of a lifetime. We'll meet with other families from church at Monticello River Rentals at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20 at 21430 River Road in Monticello, IA (just 45 minutes from Cedar Rapids). From there we'll glide down the majestic Maquoketa River, stopping for a picnic lunch in your canoe. The easy day will end at 2 p.m. Cost is $30 per canoe (holds 2 people) includes life jackets and paddles. You can bring your own kayak or canoe for a $10 hauling fee. Visit a Different Bar Each Week!
Join us at 7-8 p.m. Thurs. Sept. 10 at Sag Wagon's Outdoor Patio for a cold one and conversation with Pr. Craig. Bring your questions about God, the Bible and Life. You will decide on our next location and we'll text it and gather there. The pub crawl will continue each week through Oct. 15. Locations may include the Pickle Palace Rooftop, LP Street Food Patio, Lion’s Bridge, 30 Hop, Cedar Ridge Winery, etc.
Fall Men's Retreat
One Year to Live
Men, imagine a weekend enjoying the fall colors of the outdoors with no cell phone. No demands on you. Just you and God, and a bunch of guys on the same journey. You’ll experience good food, hiking, prayer, and growing closer to our Creator. Mark your calendar for 5:30p Fri. Oct. 23 to 3p Sun. Oct. 25 for our Men’s Retreat with Pr. Craig at Camp EWALU in Strawberry Point. Cost is $180 before Oct. 1 and is all inclusive.
