We organize our outreach ministries into teams that focus on Hunger, Housing, Hope, and Global Outreach, taking on challenges faced by our society and cultivating tangible ways that we can show the love of God to people facing them.
To get involved with these planning teams who form the backbone of First Lutheran's outreach efforts, contact Lead Pastor for Outreach Craig Brown.
Hunger Relief: Fighting Food Insecurity by hosting our Saturday Evening Meal, partnering with the HACAP Food Reservoir, Church World Service and more.
Supporting Housing: We recognize that shelter is a basic need for a thriving life, so we work with shelters like Willis Dady and programs like Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity and Mathew 25.
Giving Hope: Providing Hope by donating generously to the greater church, providing personal care toiletries to those in need, and sharing love during the Christmas Season with Children at Four Oaks.
Global Outreach: We have relationships with hospitals in Liberia and partner congregations in Northern Tanzania to care for infants and spread the Gospel. We also support the work of Lutheran World Relief and Lutheran Disaster Response.
